Megaswell 1020X - Hydrophilic Bentonite Polymer Waterstop

Description

Megaswell 1020X is a hydrophilic bentonite waterstop strip designed to seal construction joints in concrete structures. Manufactured from premium sodium bentonite and polymer rubber, the strip expands upon contact with water to form an active seal that blocks water ingress through non-moving construction joints.

Composition

• Hydrophilic sodium bentonite combined with synthetic polymer rubber
• Standard profile: 10mm × 20mm
• Standard roll length: 7.2m
• Packaging: 7 rolls per carton

Installation Guidelines

1. Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, and free from dust, laitance, oil, and loose material
2. Position Megaswell 1020X centrally within the concrete joint with a minimum 50mm concrete cover
3. Fix in place using Megatape Double Sided Butyl, Sealproof SMP or concrete nails at regular intervals
4. Butt-join strip ends tightly to maintain continuity. Do not overlap unless specifically approved
5. Protect from premature contact with water prior to concrete placement
6. Pour concrete carefully to avoid displacement
