Cementaid Diamite

In Stock
$106.70
(AUD) inc GST

REQUIREMENT:

Protection of concrete surfaces against erosion, wear and damage caused by severe abrasion/heavy traffic/fork lifts etc. Increased abrasion resistance of floor surfaces. Elimination of dust produced from concrete surfaces. Hardened and densified surface, with increased resistance to chemical /acid attack.

PRODUCT TO USE:

DIAMITE

HOW TO SPECIFY:

All surfaces (specify areas) shall be chemically casehardened when clean, dry and a least fourteen days old by a double application of CEMENTAID DIAMITE surface hardening liquid, allowing partial drying between applications (1-3 hrs), and a total quantity not less than 1 litre per 2 square meters (i.e. 1 litre per 4m, per application).
Methods of application shall comply with manufacturer’s instructions – between 4 and 6 hours

after the second DIAMITE application, the surface shall be thoroughly washed with clean water and scrubbed by a Stiff Birch Broom or Mechanical Scrubbing Machine, to remove excess
efflorescence which may appear from impurities in the cement. Do not allow any efflorescence to dry out or harden, as subsequent removal may be difficult. New concrete floors should be cured 2-4 weeks and allowed to dry out before a DIAMITE treatment.

EFFECTS:

Abrasion tests show an increased hardness of 400-600% compared to a normal good quality floor (25MPA). Permanent in effect, due to formation of a type of synthetic quartz by chemical reaction with free lime in the surface layer of concrete. It is completely compatible with CEMENTAID ROKITE corrosion and stain-resistant impregnations which may follow the DIAMITE treatment where desired, with adequate time for drying out before application of CEMENTAID ROKITE.

WHERE RECOMMENDED:

All industrial floors. Concrete floors subject to severe abrasion/traffic, etc. Concrete floors subject to acid spillage, or to organic acids from animal/vegetable matter, waste, etc.

NOTE:

Where DIAMITE is to be used, membrane curing agents should not be applied. Use ponding or water spray.
