Gripset XpressLay Self Adhesive Underlay

Gripset XpressLay is a next generation high strength reinforced self adhesive PVC sheet that offers unique properties for waterproofing internal wet areas and external de-coupling applications. At less than 1mm film thickness, XpressLay provides tensile strength properties of 13MPa offering standalone benefits and advantages for wet area waterproofing.

The innovative self-adhesive properties of XpressLay enable the sheet to be applied directly over substrates and removed or re-positioned, without compromising the bond to surfaces or performance of the shear adhesion strength over floor surfaces. The unique adhesive backing has outstanding moisture resistance providing excellent tack over substrates that ensures a strong adhesive bond.

One of the primary features of XpressLay is that while providing high performance waterproofing and vapour barrier properties, the tensile strength properties enable it to perform as decoupling layer for tile beds, withstanding floor movement strains. XpressLay PVC core provides outstanding resistance to vibration, movement and flexing, delivering a waterproofing system that overcomes the limitations of liquid membranes while providing anti-fracture and decoupling properties.

The rapid simple application speed of XpressLay provides the application to be carried out in all types of conditions, including extreme cold or humidity. The XpressLay system avoids down time for drying or curing, providing instant waterproofing that enables tile adhesives or screeds to be directly applied. XpressLay can be finished over with Gripset adhesives, membranes, coatings, screeds, mortars and approved decorative finishes.
