Gripset 38FC SBR Fast Cure Membrane

Gripset 38FC is a next generation, water based, fast curing, fibre reinforced SBR latex membrane designed for waterproofing wet areas, showers, laundries, roofs, terraces, balconies, decks, concrete slabs and general structures that will be covered over with toppings, tile beds or overlay finishes. Gripset 38FC is compliant to AS/NZS 4858:2004 and AS4654.1:2012, satisfying the requirements of AS3740:2010 and AS4654.2:2012 for waterproofing to internal and external areas.

Gripset 38FC utilises the latest in fast cure technology, enabling a recoat time of just 1 hour, a tile over time of just 4 hours, and a rain resistant finish in only 4 hours. Flexible, elastomeric and with low water vapour transmission properties, Gripset 38FC is an ideal choice for domestic and commercial projects with time constraints that require fast turnaround times.

Application and Coverage :

Where applicable the application of Gripset 38FC must comply with the following standards:

AS3740- 2010 – Waterproofing of wet areas within residential areas AS4654.2 2012- Waterproofing membrane systems for exterior use – above ground level

Product is to be applied in a minimum of 2 coats at a total minimum coverage of 1.5 litres/m²; forming a minimum dried film thickness of approximately 1.2mm. Apply subsequent coats at different directions to the previous coat. Coverage is dependent upon surface condition and will vary accordingly as uneven and porous surfaces will require greater coverage to achieve the specified film thickness. Product can be applied by roller or brush.

1 x 15litre pail will cover 10 m² @ approx 1.2mm DFT (min. 2 coats)

Precautions :

• Not to be used as a trafficable surface.
• Not to be used as a finished membrane for UV exposed applications.
• Do not apply to areas when rain is imminent.
• Do not apply when surface temperature is below 5°C or above 30°C
• Not to be applied over glass or glazed surfaces.
• Not designed as a sealant for expansion or control joints.
• Not to be used in areas where solvent or petroleum based products may be spilled.
• Not to be used in areas subject to negative hydrostatic pressure.
• All finish coatings over this membrane must be water based and solvent free.
• Allow minimum 24 hours drying after final application if treated area is to be flood tested.
